Tripping up

Despite my age, I have an adolescent sense of humour. I will still giggle at a good fart or poo joke (which is handy when you have four young nephews) and I laugh when I see someone trip over their feet.

Today it was me tripping up. I laughed at myself. I hope other people saw it and had a giggle to themselves.

It wasn't my most spectacular spill. That happend in Canberra. I was loaded up with banners and fact sheets and as I stepped off the curb, my heel caught and I took a tumble onto the road. Banners and factsheets went everywhere. Arms and legs did too.

I didn't laugh at myself that day. I could have cried with shock and pain. I'd skinned my knees and palms.

Even so, I hope someone else saw and it made them guffaw. Sights like that keep us young.
